Hey New Friends,
I'm excited that you found your way to my blog. I'm a woman, wife, and mother of two energetic boys--ages 1 and 3. That's only the very surface of who I am, but I feel like that's a good place to start. As I write this, I'm sitting on our living room couch. We just got home from Women's Bible Study, I rushed my 1 year old down to a nap, and my 3-year-old is enjoying a Happy Meal as a special treat--you will find no judgment from me if you spend a lot of time eating with Ronald McDonald or if you eat organic, home-cooked every meal. We find ourselves kinda in the middle right now.
As I write this, we're also listening to the Blippi Airplanes song. If you are a mother of kids who love vehicles and watching someone be silly, check out Blippi on Youtube. He's really the only person my son is allowed to watch, but we now listen to his music on repeat as incentive to get into the car without a tantrum. Check him out, your kids might love him. If so, you're welcome and also I'm sorry :)
When it comes to the more important things in my life, I have a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and I am so thankful that I have Him as such a central place in my life. To say that the last few years of life have been full of ups and downs would be a major understatement. As you follow along with my blog, podcasts, and hopefully books in the future, Lord willing, I hope that you would see that theme throughout everything I do and say. I feel like God has been doing some amazing things in my life recently, transforming me as a woman, wife and mother. I am so thankful that He has grace for me in my weakness and gives me the strength that I need to do and be everything I need for my family and others in my sphere of influence.
That's basically it for now. As the weeks and months go on, I am excited for the opportunity to share my story with you as well as some things that God is teaching me. If you have any questions or have any topics that you would be interested in hearing about, I would love to try to cover those. I am currently planning to cover such topics as Motherhood, Infertility & Miscarriage, Grieving the Loss of a Parent, Maintaining Your Marriage, and Maturing in Faith. I will be covering these topics from a personal, life-experience standpoint with stories from myself and many close friends who have walked through these experiences. I will also be looking at what the Bible has to say about these topics and doing some in-depth studies on some of my favorite Biblical passages and characters who ultimately point to Jesus as Savior and our true hope in this life.
